THE KAMA GOLF MATERIALS GUIDE
bluesign® APPROVED yarn
A considered yarn. A clearer standard.
The bluesign APPROVED mark on a specified yarn tells you something about the inputs and processes behind that material, beyond its colour and feel.
Shop this technologyWhat approval addresses
The bluesign system assesses textile inputs and production, including chemical management, resource use and safety for workers and consumers. Approval is tied to a defined material and its assessed scope. It is a way to evaluate how a component is made, rather than a claim that textile production has no impact.
Schoeller’s part in the story
KAMA works with Schoeller’s specialist yarns, including chlorine-free EXP-treated wool. Where KAMA specifies bluesign APPROVED yarn for a model, we show the mark alongside that product’s material information. This makes the connection between the symbol and the actual component visible.
Traceability and other certifications
Schoeller’s yarn information also references ORGANICA traceability from the wool supply chain, animal-welfare considerations and standards such as EU Ecolabel and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. Different marks address different questions. Their precise scope depends on the yarn; a list of yarn standards is not a blanket certification of the whole garment.
Does the mark certify the whole KAMA beanie?
On these product pages we identify the bluesign APPROVED yarn specified by KAMA. That component approval should not be interpreted as certification of every finished garment, lining or membrane.
