How do we start a club or corporate order?

Choose a hat from the collection or use the customiser, then tell us your club or organisation, colours, quantity and required date. We can work through the brief by email or phone. If you would like to discuss physical samples, contact our Galway team to arrange it first.

What artwork should we provide?

A vector logo with outlined lettering is best for production, together with your preferred dimensions and colour references. A clear PNG, a photograph of an existing hat or even a sketch can help us start. The online customiser accepts PNG, JPEG and WebP files up to 5 MB; send original vector artwork by email when requested. Uploading artwork does not approve it for production.

Can we change the colours or knit our own design?

Bespoke production can adapt colours and jacquard patterns, subject to yarn availability and technical review. A jacquard design is knitted into the fabric itself. Start with a model you like and describe the changes; we will confirm suitable colours, materials and what can be made. A stock-hat crest preview shows placement, rather than a bespoke knit specification.

Which branding methods are available?

Direct embroidery is a familiar choice for club crests. Other possibilities include embroidered or printed patches, a logo knitted into a jacquard pattern, an embossed leather label or a silicone detail on felt. Each method suits different artwork and fabrics. Silicone details generally require a much larger production run, with a supplier minimum of 1,000 pieces. We confirm the available method and minimum in your quote.

What are the minimum quantities?

KAMA states a minimum of 50 pieces for bespoke knitted hats and 20 for bespoke sweaters. These are custom production minimums, rather than a promise that every item in the retail range can be made to order. For a smaller run using existing stock and added branding, send an enquiry and we will check feasibility separately.

Will we see the design before production?

KAMA offers design visualisation for bespoke projects, with revisions to agree the direction. We coordinate the brief and quotation with you. A reference sample can then be arranged for approval before the production schedule is agreed. Your quote will confirm sample arrangements, any costs and the final specification. The instant online mockup is a concept, not the approved embroidery proof.

How long will a custom order take?

Lead time depends on the quantity, design, yarn, branding and production schedule. KAMA gives around three weeks for a run of 50 custom hats as an example of production time; this is not a guaranteed delivery promise and excludes briefing, artwork approval and transport. Christmas is particularly busy. Share your event date early so we can confirm a realistic schedule in writing.

How is the price calculated?

Your quote reflects the product, material, colour or pattern changes, branding method and total quantity, plus any agreed sample and delivery costs. Merino wool, merino blends and technical linings have different specifications. We can also discuss coordinated accessories or gift sets for clients, employees and golf days. No order is placed by submitting an enquiry.
