COUNTY ANTRIM / IRISH GOLF CLUB GUIDE
Royal Portrush Golf Club
County Antrim · Championship links

WHY IT BELONGS IN THE CONVERSATION
A championship story on the Causeway Coast.
The club began as the County Club in May 1888. Royal patronage followed in 1892 and the Royal Portrush name was adopted in 1895. Its development reflects the growth of Portrush as a coastal destination, with golf becoming part of the town’s identity.
The Dunluce Links connects that local history with one of the game’s largest stages. The Open was played here in 1951, 2019 and 2025. The club’s Valley Links provides a second distinct course. A visit is best planned around the particular links you intend to play, the available visitor times and the exposed conditions on the Causeway Coast.
